moved forward a bit on this project.  the keymap/binding system supports mouse combos.  the hard
part is yet to come though---figuring out how to activate and deactivate the special keymaps for
the various node types that can be clicked on.

I went with "mouse1", "mouse2", etc, rather than the hyphenated version because of the way hyphens
are used in combos to separate modifiers.
